festival to rock Thurston in 2011!
One of the delights of the Thurston Festival is the pure enjoyment on the faces of young and old across the weekend's varied events. Those festival goers who were at the opening event last year will remember the amazing launch given to us by Booty & the Beatz. So good in fact that we could only welcome them back this year to get things off to a good start once again! Friday's headline act this year sees the awesome Counterfeit Quo rocking Thurston with all the hits of the original Status Quo.
We have always aimed to provide a variety of events at the Festival and this year will see the introduction of our Celebration of Young Music during the Saturday afternoon. Interspersed by sets from festival favourites Big Girl's Blooze, groups and individuals from local schools will take the stage.
Once again, the Thurston Beer Festival will run throughout the weekend and we invite you to come along and sample some of the very best of the East Anglian region!
The commanding appearance of Captain Splosh at last year's Air Fair delighted young and old (although perhaps for different reasons!). The Marrakesh Little Big Band will be on hand to add a swing to the sunshine alternating with the relaxing sounds of Big Girl's Blooze.
